How to Receive a Fax in MacComCenter:

  1. Make sure MacComCenter is currently not running.
  2. Open the Apple Menu and select Fax Controller.
  3. If the Status says Waiting for Call skip to Step 6.
  4. The Status box should read Idle.
  5. Open the Fax Controller on the menu bar, and select Enable Fax Receiving.
  6. Your Fax Modem is now ready to receive an incoming fax.


How to Fax from a Mac Application:

  1. Open the application and document that you want to fax.
  2. Once the document has loaded, open the File menu. If the Fax option is present, select it and skip to Step 7.
  3. Go to the Apple Menu and select the Chooser.
  4. Select MCC Fax Print then close the Chooser.
  5. In your application, open the File menu and select Page Setup. Make any changes you wish and select OK.
  6. Open the File menu and select Print.
  7. Fill in the MacComCenter Fax Print information: Fax Number, To, Attention
    and Note information.
  8. Press the Send button.


How to View and Print a Fax in MacComCenter:

  1. Open MacComCenter.
  2. Select the Fax menu and select ViewFax.
  3. Select the fax file you want to view and click on Open.
  4. You should now be viewing the fax file in QuickView.

Another way to Open a Fax File:

  1. Double-click on the received fax you would like to view in the MacComCenter Folder.

How to view a Fax from QuickView:

  1. Open QuickView.
  2. Open the File menu and select Open.
  3. Select the fax file you want to view and click on Open.
  4. You should now be viewing the fax file in QuickView.

How to Print a Fax from QuickView:

  1. Open the fax file you want to print.
  2. Open the File menu and select Print.
  3. The fax will now print to the device selected in the Chooser.


How to Create, View and Print a Capture File in MacComCenter:

How to Create a Capture File:

  1. Connect to the BBS you want to use Capture File on, by using the Data Phone List, or by clicking on Data and selecting Dial.
  2. Once a connecting to the BBS is established, select the Data menu, then Open Capture File.
  3. Under Name of Capture File, enter a name for the Capture File.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Everything displayed in the Terminal Window, from this point on, will be saved in the Capture File.
  6. When you are done capturing text, open the Data menu and select Close Capture File.

How to View a Capture File:

  1. The Capture File can be viewed using any Word Processor, such as Word or Word Perfect. You open this file the same way you would open any saved document on your hard drive. Another option is to open the File menu and select Open in MacComCenter.
  2. Select the Capture File that you just created.
  3. Click on Open.

How to Print a Capture File:

  1. Open the File menu and select Print.
  2. The Capture File will now print to the device selected in the Chooser.
