Question: I just installed a new modem and now Dial Up Networking does not work. Answer: In Windows 95 and Windows 98, Dial Up Networking does not automatically set up to use a newly installed modem. Even if the old modem is completely uninstalled, it will still attempt to connect to that device. To remedy this, Open 'My Computer', then open 'Dial Up Networking', Right click on the Dial Up Networking Connector that you use, (you will receive the message 'Dial Up Networking cannot find the selected modem') From the 'Connect Using' pull down menu, select the new modem you have just installed then click OK.
